About our Church

Our Story

Christian Fellowship North was born in October 2001, the daughter of the first Christian Fellowship church in Warsaw, based on Pulawska Street, and the fruit of the vision of pastor Andrzej Bajenski, who led the church at that time.

We started out as a group of about 100 people, meeting in a Daewoo conference room in the north Praga district of Warsaw.

In autumn 2002, celebrating our first birthday, we moved to the “Baccar” conference centre and pastor Krzysztof Zareba became lead pastor.

As a young church we were largely dependent upon the help and support of Christian Fellowship Pulawska. The church grew year by year, more and more people were baptised and got involved in the everyday mission of the fellowship.

In September 2004, Christian Fellowship North became an independent church with pastor Krzysztof Zareba as lead Pastor.

2 years later, in October 2006, we moved to a bigger hall which we rented from the FSO Mechanic’s School on Jagiellonska Street.

In 2011 we sent pastor Marek Sobotka and a group of 100 leaders to the South Praga district of Warsaw to plant a new church. Today, Christian Fellowship South is growing dynamically and meets at 65 Minska Street in Warsaw.

The following years saw further growth and development. We needed to find a new meeting place in order to realise the vision which God had placed in the hearts of the pastor and leaders. In June 2013 God led us to 10 Elektronowa Street. In November 2016 we are going to celebrate our 15th birthday.

Today, Christian Fellowship North has almost 1000 people taking part in one of 3 services on a Sunday – at 10:00, 12:00 and 18:00. A large percentage also meet during the week, all around Warsaw, in our 40 home groups.

By following Jesus we change reality |

We believe that:

The only eternal, infinite, unchanging, sovereign God, who is unlimited by time and space and is faithful to Himself and His promises. He is the creator of everything and maintains and rules over everything in power. In the fullest and ultimate way He revealed Himself in Jesus Christ as being perfect in love, holiness and righteousness and fully completed the work of saving man through His grace.

2. JESUS CHRIST is the only begotten Son of God,
conceived through the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He is truly God and truly man. We believe in His conception in the Virgin Mary, His sinless life and that all the Old Testament messianic prophecies find their fulfillment in Him. We believe in His miracles, teaching, redemptive death, physical resurrection and ascension. We believe in His constant intercession and His personal, visible return to earth, when He will resurrect the dead, unveil His glorious kingdom in full and give believers eternal blessing.

3. The HOLY SPIRIT comes from the Father and the Son,
in order to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement, to renew, sanctify, fill and equip believers in Jesus Christ with power for ministry. We believe the Holy Spirit lives in each believer in Jesus Christ and that He is their constant Helper, Teacher, Giver of gifts and Guide. We believe that through the Holy Spirit living in us we can experience freedom from the chains of satan, the world and sin. We believe the Holy Spirit brings a partial experience of the reality of the kingdom of God as He works in and through the life of a believer in His sovereign and supernatural power.

4. The BIBLE is the Word of God,
which was given to us by God’s inspiration and is the final authority for the life of a believer in every culture and age and that it is an infallible guide in matters of faith and practice and has precedence over church traditions and human opinion. The Bible is the ultimate and final authority in matters regarding doctrinal arguments, moral judgements and church discipline. It should be interpreted with regards to context and its purpose in full obedience to the living Lord who speaks through His word in the power of the Holy Spirit. The main purpose of the Word of God is to bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and to salvation which is in His name. We believe that by preaching the Word of God, people are brought into a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and become His mature followers.

5. HUMAN BEINGS were created by God in His image,
but gave in to the devil’s temptation and in consequence rebelled against God. Human beings, men and women, are fallen by nature, proving their state by their sinful actions. They are sinners by both nature and choice which is why they carry the curse of condemnation. God renews those who repent from their sin and confess Jesus Christ as their Lord and He pronounces them as made righteous on the basis of their faith, forgiving their sins and adopting them His children, incorporating them into His body and baptising them in the Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of their future resurrection and inheritance with Christ.

6. There is one holy, universal and apostolic CHURCH,
the living body of Jesus Christ, of which He is the head and everyone who has been born of water and the Spirit are parts. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ left the church 2 ordinances – baptism and communion, which are a dramatic picture of the essence of the gospel. We believe that those who are baptised with Christ in water and the Holy Spirit are then obliged and given authority to be obedient to the Word of God, repent when they sin and should aim towards a life of obedience and holiness. Those who continue to live in sin should be warned and put under church discipline according to the rules laid out in the Bible.

7. The believer has AUTHORITY,
given by Jesus Christ, over spiritual powers of darkness controlled by satan, the ruler of this world. We actively experience this authority when we pray, put on the spiritual armour, fight through faith, use our spiritual gifts and aim towards spiritual maturity in Jesus Christ. We believe that satan and demons are personal, intelligent beings who were defeated by Jesus Christ, who will execute their eternal destruction when He returns to complete the work of building the kingdom of God on earth.
